The existing home is a Mid-Century Bungalow which lays low and horizontally hugs the sloping terrain of this forested site, set amidst a mature Saanich neighborhood.  Along with the need for more space, our clients appreciation for West Coast Modern Design and the dramatic panoramic views have provided the catalysts for this modern home addition and renovation. The extensive slope of the rear yard and the existing home's setbacks do not allow for any addition to the building's footprint, and as a result, a new Upper Level addition is being proposed to the home.  The addition will feature a new Primary Bedroom and Ensuite, and a small lounge area.
A new Sun Deck to take in the Eastern and Southern views over the
Georgia Strait, will be added just off of the Bedroom.  The Exterior and
Interior finishes be updated with Natural-inspired materials such as
Wood Siding and Stone.
